He is son of Tanikella Bharani who is brother of Nazar. Nazar is the head of united family having 3 brothers and a sister Rajitha. Chandu helps to elope his cousin who is daughter of Chandramohan and Rajitha. This irritates Nazar's family and they don't want to see his face. Chandu returns back to Bellary and finishes his engineering. One of Chandu's friend fall in love and the lover's father arranges her marriage with another person. This friend asks Chandu to help him in his marriage.Chandu decides to bring the bridegroom from the marriage hall but Chandu's gang mistakenly went to another marriage hall and helps Genelia to escape out of that marriage.

Genelia is a daughter of factionist and doesn't want to have marriage. After some interesting chases and action sequences Chandu helps her from out of danger and asks her to enter into his family as an orphan sent by their family friend. There she wins the heart of the family and the family decides to accept her as their family member and want to tie her knot with Chandu. Here the story enters into an interesting situation. Genelia is identified by her father's gang and they took her to their place. We need to watch the rest of the movie to know how Chandu wins over these action groups and wins the heart of Genelia.

Artists Performance:

Ready has perfect casting. Ram is very natural, charming and elegant. He did both action sequences and the comedy scenes very well. Genelia steals the show with her excellent performance. She is like an angel with lot of purity. Nazar is at his best in this role that demands extraordinary performance. Sunil has done a superb comedy role. His expressions as mada type character is so hillareous. Kota is very good in his role. Comedy by M.S.Narayana and Brhmanandam is extraordinary.

Technical Departments:

Srinu Vytla proved him self that he can handle both action and comedy very well. Dailogues by Gopi-Mohan and Kona Venkat are funny and catchy. There is lot of freshness in the film. Screenplay of the film is tight. Direction is exceptionally good. Music by Devisri Prasad is very good and the picturization of the second song "Ayyo ayyo daanayya" is very good. Production values by Sravanthi movies is so rich. Sravanthi Ravi Kishore did a marvellous job in delivering the movie on time by coordinating many charactor artists and we can expect this film can be another Nuvve Kavali for Sravanthi Banner. Camera by Hari Anumolu and Editing by Srikar Prasad are commendable.

Highlights of the movie:

Comedy scene by M S Narayana when he comes to Nazar House.
 Chasing scenes in the forest.
When Genelia tells Nazar that she broke his momento.

First half of the film is excellent. Second half is even better. The assets of this film are director Srinu Vytla, Ram, Brahmanandam and Genelia. It is a full length entertainer and a family can watch the film with kids happily.

Rating: 3.8/5

pandurangadu review

Cast :
Balakrishna, Tabu, Sneha, Bramhanandam, K Vishwanath, , Sunil, M Balaiah, Suhasini, Meghana Naidu, Hanumantha Rao, Jenny, Sathipandu, Archana, Y Vijaya, Sana Shivaparvathi, Radhika and others Director : K Raghavendra RaoMusic director : MM KeeravaniProducer : K Krishna Mohan

Plot:
The first half is about Pandurangadu growing up and his romance with the leading ladies Tabu and Sneha. Songs come in during the course. The first half bangs out with the Lord Krishna's Vishwaroopam which is the best to happen in the first half of the movie, and yes in the entire movie too. The second half is about Panduragadu turning into a devotee of Lord Krishna. He loses his eyesight which is restored back. The movie ends with the vishwaroopam of Lord Krishna.

Performances:
Balayya as both Pandurangadu and Lord Krishna is commendable. He drives the movie along. His variations between the two characters is very very good. He justified the role of Lord Krishna and can be compared to his own father, the late NTR.Reviw and Analysis: KRR shows his exceptional skills again. The visuals created by him are too good. His handling of the subject is again great. He has shown again why he is regarded as one of the best directors in the country. The rest of the cast is good. The songs are adequate.

Verdict:If you are into devotional movies you will love this one too. Mainly the twist in second half is too good that no one can expect. And the heroine hansika is good looking and tanisha is not soo impressive.

The only back drop in the movie is It has Too many fights but again they were convincing and well picturised Generally audions will really feel that director could have concentrated on comedy a bit more.Though they are very few seans in comedy they were really good mainly Singapore episode, and comedy track of Suneel, Ali, krishna baghavan and Brahmanandam.NTR is good looking &his costumes were very good.

The movie is good to watch and we can expect 100% returns for what we have invested on this movie in the form of entertainment.

Review and Analysis:
This is a pakka mass masala movie have every element to entertain the general audience. First is full of full meals. Prakash raj, ashish vidyarthi played a major roles in the movie. Mukesh rushi plays grand father role for NTR. As NTR parents(NRI) who come from London with 100 crores to their home town. His parents use to spent the money for village development purpose and they also wills to open a sugar factory in the village. Prakash raj kills whole NTR family. And he escapes with the money to other country. There paraksh raj becomes a mafia leader. And NTR joins in that mafia group. And the story is entirely related with mafia and revenge. Mainly the twist in second half is too good that no one can expect. And the heroine hansika is good looking and tanisha is not soo impressive.

Performances: NTR drives the movie along. He's improved on his acting again just like he does for every movie. .NTR is good looking &his costumes were very good It's good to have an actor like NTR now in the industry. Hnasika looks pretty good than that of tanishaa. Comedy track of suneel(rajini hassan) is good. The rest of the caste are okay. The movie is good to watch and we can expect 100% returns for what we have invested on this movie in the form of entertainment.

Rating:3.5/5.0

Parugu Review

Producers: Dil Raju

Presenter: Smt. But then, he stays back there itself because he sees Meena, Neelakanta's younger daughter and falls in love with her.
Meanwhile, the search for the eloped is continued, Krishna and Meena fall for each other and they too elope. Now what will Neelakanta do? ,that is the question.

Review and Analysis:

The movie is a bit pacy, good like all Allu Arjun's films. Now if Bommarillu was about father-son relationship, this one is about the father-daughter relationship. It's just the other way round for Bhaskar from Bommarillu, though not that effective. The subject and the way it was handled was ok. The second half hardly has anything to see. You've got to work on your subjects brother.. Dil Raju has just lost some calculations here and even Munna too. Start getting it right again Sir.

Performances:

Allu Arjun drives the movie along. He's improved on his acting again just like he does for every movie. It's good to have an actor like Arjun noow in the industry. Sheela is good in her role, though not quite apt. Prakash Raj is reliable, very good as ever. The rest of the cast are okay.

Verdict: Good, but not effective. Just see and then forget.

Rating: 3.0/5.0

Jalsa

Producers: Allu Aravind
Banner: Geeta Arts.
Star cast: Pawan Kalyan, Ileana, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Mukesh Rishi, Parvati Melton, Kamalinee Mukherjee and others.
Story, Screenplay, Dialogues and Direction: Trivikram Srinivas
Music: Devi Sri Prasad.
Lyrics: Cinematography: K V Anand.
Editor: Anthony.
Release Date: 2nd April, 2008.

Story:

The movie starts off with the voice over of Mahesh Babu, he calls himself a friend of Sanjay. PAWAN KALYAN is introduced as an alcoholic and a person obsessed with education. Kamalinee Mukherjee is introduced as PAWAN KALYAN's lover, we are showed a brief scene with Prakash Raj, who is Kamalinee Mukherjee's father. In an almost unbelievable and comical fashion, the scene is carried forward into PAWAN KALYAN attending Kamalinee Mukherjee's wedding with another person. 52 weeks later, Ileana and Parvathi Melton enter his life in the form of an introduction fight to establish PAWAN KALYAN's skills.Fun and frolic follow for the next few minutes; Ileana wins PAWAN KALYAN over with the help of hilarious Sunil. In the mean while we are introduced to Mukesh Rushi and his trusted ally Tanikella Bharani. A notorious factionist who lives on settlements is Mukesh Rishi. MUKESH RISHI runs all his operations from the jail.

He is further established in a beautifully choreographed land takeover fight scene.Comedy works well between PAWAN KALYAN and Ileana, Mukesh Rishi is established in the side track, songs work well and everything seems to be going amazingly well, the anticipation of something big looming between PAWAN KALYAN and MUKESH RISHI builds expectation.Mukesh Rishi spots Pawan Kalyan for the first time in the movie; he wants to grab him but fails.

Pawan Kalyan is totally unaware of all this happening around him. Mukesh Rishi plots an execution but calls it off at the last moment stating, PAWAN KALYAN needs to suffer before this death. From here on it's a cat and mouse game, or should we just say it's a cat's game as Pawan Kalyan is forced to encounter near misses of death. In one such encounter, Ali is grabbed from the group of PAWAN KALYAN's friends and a fight follows, this is where PAWAN KALYAN reveals in an emotional state that he has had a hard childhood, which includs poverty.

Second half starts off with PAWAN KALYAN narrating a flashback about his miserable childhood and young life. This includes a brief stint with the naxalites, this is where the story starts falling off one bit at a time. The reason for PAWAN KALYAN joining the naxals is justified, but the reason why he leaves them is totally illogical, what with Mahesh Babu's voice over telling us that he had been promoted to a higher cadre in the group.

Groups of fighters start mobbing PAWAN KALYAN from nowhere and he just dismisses them, In the meanwhile the love drama takes a few twists, Ileanas father being Prakash Raj the police officer who changed PAWAN KALYAN.

When the villain of the movie is showed in a massive powerful position, you would assume an excellent scene or two will follow between them. But nothing like that happens in the entirety of the movie, including the climax.

Review and Analysis: Not a kind of movie that makes you jump and scream for 3 hrs. The first half is good and the second half..uff..could have been much much better. Trivikram handles this one well. You and I, My heart is beating and Gallo Telinattundhe are amazingly picturised, the title track, Jennifer Lopez and Chalore Chalore are pitifully picturised with no build up to the songs at all. They just seem to pop out of nowhere. DSP has done a very good job.

Performances: Pawan Kalyan is good as he always is. His comedy works well, his fights have been choreographed well and his dance is crisp, but I must say we wanted Pawan Kalyan to dance for the song "Jalsa"rather than walk or beat up the villains. He has carried the film except for the interval scene where he doesn't justify the emotions required at the time. Ileana forms a great pair with him and the combo rocks. The rest of the cast is adequate.

Verdict: Good but could've been much better.

Rating: 6.5/10

anasuya rating 2.75/5

Anasuya is a murder mystery that turns into a violent horror story in the second half. The movie is as repulsive and murky as it can get.
That's precisely what the makers wanted it to be as a horror and murder story.
Ravi Babu, the director of the movie establishes his credentials as a director firmly this time. His previous venture 'Party' was a damp squib. Anasuya compensates for that. Anasuya (Bhoomika) is an investigative journalist working for a TV channel. She is smart, gutsy, and yet vulnerable. Abbas is a police officer working in the task force. He is not exactly very efficient, but he is entrusted with high profile cases.
There is a psycho on a killing spree. Abbas gets the case to solve. Anasuya comes face to face with the killer when he kills her uncle. Anasuya clearly recognizes the killer that is working in a hospital as a ward boy.
But the killer acts as an invalid and even after getting apprehended he is allowed to go scot free without any charges because of his physical disability. Anasuya has a gut feeling that the suspect is the actual killer and the physical disability is a sham. Her apprehensions get confirmed when she follows the activities of the suspect closely. The killer is an able bodied huge male with an unhinged mind that's bent on killing and taking away body parts (this is one murky part). The trouble now is that the killer has Anasuya as the target

comments
As a movie it's conceived well and the scenes are constructed neatly. But what's repulsive is the way some scenes have been shown. There are a lot of gory scenes and eerie frames. That's what is required in such a movie and the director Ravi Babu scores heavily there.
Also the construction of the plot is remarkable. The talk of DNA testing, organ donation, and stuffs like that shows the caliber of the director. As an ad film maker he has got the story right as well as the lights and the colors
However, the director dwells more on the anti hero or the killer here. Though he doesn't glorify the killer, but there are a lot of heroism exhibited by the anti hero (like taking 3 bullet shots from a close range and yet running away and then doing a few things an otherwise unhurt person cannot do).
The movie could have been better had it included some more scenes about Abbas. His character doesn't emerge clearly.
The expression that Bhumika gives when she comes face to face with the killer for the first time says it all about her acting.
She is brilliant as usual. Ravi Babu as the killer has elevated his position as a negative role actor to the highest echelons. In the final analysis, Ravi Babu proves his mettle as a director of caliber. He has the capability to make movies on the strength of the script without using big names as crutches.
Of Course, Bhoomika was a pull factor for Anasuya, but really the trailers shown before the movie was released were too powerful. The onus is now on him to make movies with strong social messages upholding the good values of life, either with or without comedy. He is the one capable of doing it.

don review

Cast : Nagarjuna, Anushka
Director : Ragava Larence
Music Director : Ragava Larence
Producer : M.L.Kumar Chowdhary
Banner : Sree Keerthi Creations

The Lawrence directed film Don has a body of high production values and a mind of stylistic taking, but no soul as such.

It was Mahatma Gandhi who said that the skewed system of an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. Violence always begets violence, never any iota of peace.

The underlying message in this film is that whenever any injustice is done, one should go to Surya, the Don, who gets justice done by summarily liquidating the offenders, but never to the institutions of the Police or the Judiciary.

Synopsis

Surya (Nagarjuna) is a Don in Hyderabad with a difference; he is an affectionate friend to good people and an efficient enemy to the bad ones. Surya is an orphan. His father, a policeman, and his mother had been killed by an underworld don. His brother, another orphan, Raghava (Lawrence) assists Surya in the execution of bad guys.

The son of the local MLA(Kota Srinivasa Rao) indulges in doing drugs and sexually exploiting female addicts. Raghava executes the culprit. Priya (Anushka) catches the eye of Surya and becomes his only female interest.

The state DGP (Nazar) calls for an emergency meeting of his officers to discuss the threat of an international don Stephen ( Kelly Dorji) adding the state to his expanding underworld empire. Finally, it is a struggle for survival for Surya, the Andhra Don and Stephen, the international Don. No prizes for guessing who wins.

comments

Nagarjuna gives a stylish, but insipid performance. Lawrence is totally inadequate in his role. His laborious efforts to be comic, ends in his miserable body language and misery to the audience. Sunil, or any other professional comedian, in that role could have slightly enlivened the situation to some extent.
Anushka is merely a part of the props and furniture. Her role at best can be described as a cameo, but certainly not heroine. Kelly Dorji as the villain gives a strikingly stylish performance. The in-and-out roles carried out by Kota Srinivasa Rao, Chalapathi Rao, Jeeva, Nikita and others are adequate.

The screenplay, by Lawrence, is disjointed and illogical. Some scenes, particularly the songs and fights, are picturised well, but the total effect is that of pearls embedded, not in gold, but just a terracotta chain. The dialogues by Abburi Ravi are adequate, but in a vain attempt to dramatise, go to the extent of using unparliamentary language

The conceptualization and characterization are in poor taste and totally inadequate. The micro-details of a flash back, where Stephen ( Kelly Dorji)
executes a don in Goa, is narrated by the DG of Police. If the police know such minute details about Stephen, the Don, what are they waiting for? Why do the police, the law keepers, have such unflinching faith in the unlawful activities of Surya to quell the plans of the international don ?

The music, except for two duets, is a simple symphony of perfect cacophony.

The choreography is more like going through the motions, with those motions often bordered not on delectable movements but on detestable pelvic gyrations.

Cinematography by S.Gopal Reddy and editing by Marthan K. Venkatesh is good. Background music, audiography and dts mixing leave a lot to be desired.

The film Don is not worth waiting in a queue, purchase a ticket, sit in the theatre and feel miserable. One gets the feeling that after shooting the fights and songs, a meager attempt had been made to carve out a story, merely to connect the song and fight sequences. The final result is a hotchpotch of sketchy vignettes.

The credits for Don can be written as: story, screenplay, music, choreography, direction and audience by Raghava Lawrence.

viyyala vari kayyalu-3/5 rating

Cast: Udaykiran, Neha Jhulka, Srihari, Sayaji Shinde, Jayaprakash Reddy, Giribabu, Ahuti Prasad, Venumadhav, Raghubabu, Jeeva, Krishna Bhagawan, Lakshmipati, GV, Narsing Yadav, LB Sriram, MS Narayana, Brahmaji, Kavitha, Kausalya, Telangana Sakuntala, Apoorva, Geeta Singh, Satya Krishnan and others.

Story: Larsco Entertainments’ unit

Dialogues: SainathCinematography: Ajayan Vincent

Editing: Marthand K Venkatesh

Fights: Ram-Lakshman

Music: Ramana Gogula

Art: AshokPresents: Ramalakshmi Cine Creations

Producer: Lagadapati Sirisha SridharScreenplay and

Direction: – Kota Satyanarayana E (Sattibabu)

Lagadapati Sridhar brought out two films like ‘Yevadigola Vadidi’ and ‘Style’, and made them hits with his excellent skills in promoting his films. Though the reviewers criticized that the films were average flicks, he made them to run for 100 days and silver jubilee with lot of publicity. Udaykiran, who kept himself off from the Telugu screen had got a good opportunity through Larsco Entertainments to make a comeback. He started his second innings with an action-oriented mass film and at the same time he maintained his lover boy image in tact. As there is a sentiment that all the film which had Srihari in a special role would be a hit, this film too tried to cash in on the sentiment. However, director Sattibabu failed to narrate the story in an effective way.

Nandini (Neha Jhulka) is the sister of Bhupati Rayudu (Srihari), a faction leader. She falls in love with Vamsi (Udaykiran). Though Bhupati first refuses their love, accepts it after a few turn of event. Later it is Prestige Padmanabham (Sayaji Shinde), father of Vamsy who turns a thorn and refuses their love again. How Bhupati handled the situation? What were circumstances that led to the smooth end of their love story? Will Vamsy was able to marry Nandini? Does the love triumphs or results in a tragic end? Answers to all these questions form part of the remaining story.

Udaykiran had a fresh look in the movie. Though he tried to show improvement in his performance and acting, his face continued to look a little disturbed. It was Srihari who excelled in the role. He took over the entire responsibility to keep the film interesting and make the audiences stick to the seats with his impressive performance. Neha Jhulka is okay in parts. However, there was a lot of change in her make-up, hairstyle and appeared in different ways in various scenes and there is no correlation in her attire. Sayaji Shinde, Jayaprakash Reddy and Giribabu are okay in their roles and did justice to their respective characters. Comedy by Venumadhav appeared boring as he continued to imitate popular heroes. Krishna Bhagawan and Lakshmipati as villain’s side kicks did good job and ensured good entertainment.hough director Sattibabu chose a good storyline and tried to give two messages simultaneously. He wanted to say that factionism should be wiped out to avoid lots of bloodshed and at the same time, he tried to convey that the lovers should not run away or elope but instead win the confidence of their elders and get married with their blessings.

However, the poor narration of the story, improper screenplay, joining of several scenes, which have no links at all. He also failed to carry forward the emotions in the film and failed to fill some feel in the movie. He should keep in mind something that for a comedy film, there is no need for proper link but for a love or family subject and for a film with action backdrop, each scene should have some connectivity with each other. This was proved as a major drawback for the movie. Ramana Gogula’s music is not at all impressing. He uses the same old tunes and changes only the lyrics. He failed to show any difference from his earlier film tunes. Moreover, he could not concentrate on the re-recording and it was atrocious. Of all the songs, two were too boring and made the audiences to walk out for a break. Marthand K Venkatesh did another interesting job in the film and he really worked hard to join different scenes with a meaningful linkage. Action scenes by Ram-Lakshman are okay. Producer Lagadapati Sirisha Sridhar is bringing out the films with a passion and the production values of Larsco Entertainment are good. Sainath’s dialogues are partly good.

Following are some of the dialogues which received good applause:
Hero speaking to his mother about Navaratan oil and says, ‘Idi vaadithe Manchidi ani Maa Mega Star Chepparu Kadaa.’
Heroine tells the hero -- Manam Puttakamundu Nunche Mana Meeda Prema Penchukuntaaru Mana Parents. Alaandti Vaari acceptance tho Marriage Chesukontene, Adi Real love.’
Hero to his mother and sister-in-law – ‘Nijamaina Prema Paripodu, Ikkade undi peddavaalla Aseessulatho daanini pandinchukovali’

Remarks:
The film begins with a good start. After running for a few minutes, it fell flat and the audience feel bored for around three reels. The entry of Srihari revived the glory of the film. From then onwards the movement gains a slow pick-up. However, one could not differentiate the good, bad and ugly scenes in the film as there so many ebbs and tides in its movement. The interval bang is very poor. In the second half of the film, it was Srihari who took the entire responsibility to make the film attractive. His performance in action scenes is worth watching. Especially the second half is almost aimed at gathering the support of mass audiences. The film might have a good run in B,C centres. One had to wait and watch how Lagadapati Sridhar plays his magic in giving wide publicity to make the film a hit

atidhi review

story:

orphan aged about 7 comes under the caring fold of a young couple in Delhi. He is named as Athidi (Mahesh Babu). One fateful day, a mugger kills the couple for surrendering small cash. He keeps the revolver in the boy’s grip and escapes. The couple’s daughter Amrita (Amrita Rao) thinks that the boy is the real murderer of her parents. After 14 years, he gets released from jail. His mission is to track down and kill the mugger. He has no clues but the photograph of his target. Running parallel to his revenge, another thread would come in. Athidi is after a Delhi-based drug peddler (Ashish Vidyarthi) and ruins his underworld activities. He also saves the life of a beautiful girl by pumping oxygen mouth-to-mouth, when she meets with an accident while escaping from the rowdies. She falls in love with him. Athidi comes to know that the girl is none other than childhood Amrita. Meanwhile, one Kaiser (new artiste), a notorious gangster and nail in the shoe of Home department, is after the life of Amrita

At the same time, Amrita comes to know that her lover is none other than the person whom she thinks is the killer of her parents. Athidi finds out that Kaiser is his target. How he accomplishes his task and wins the heart of the girl forms the crux of the movie

mahesh :-

Mahesh Babu as usual looked very handsome, and stylish, all through the movie. He sported a couple of hairstyles, which becomes another highlight from his side. He sounds excellent in the stunts sequences, and lively in dance numbers. There are nothing like dialogues for Mahesh Babu in particular, but you can say, it’s a conversation. To cut the ice, Mahesh Babu shoulders the central weight of the film on his shoulders.

amtita rao:-
Amrita Rao is both beautiful and glamorous. She has innocent looksand touch of Telugu nativity. Her chemistry with Mahesh Babu is good.
The new artiste, who did the main villain as Kaiser, did his job with élan. He played two assignments as a single person – as a police officer and gangster. However, there is no consistency in his characterization.

asish vidyarthi:-

Asish Vidyarthi did the sidekick to the main villain. His mannerism with long and matted hair and ugly teeth is hilarious. Nazar appears as the state minister and uncle to the heroine. Benerjee played a simple role as Nazar’s man who sells himself to the villain.

Venu Madhav and sunil :-

he performed his comedy in the first half as a pickpocket, while it is the turn of Sunil and Brahmanandam in the beginning of the second half. Rajiv Kanakala and another female artiste played the roles of parents to the heroine. Kota Srinivasa Rao played the role of a Home Minister-aspirant, who is ready to do any cutthroat business. All other characters performed neatly within their limitations

comments

story is formulaic. There is lot of expectation in the story, though its author and director tried to bring in as many twists and jerks as possible, which all seem to be dramatic. Surender Reddy wasted the entire first half without touching on the main road. It is only at the interval bang that he tried to give a twist, which again is under the purview of the audience prediction. Screenplay is tightly knit, but it gives a feel that the story advances episode by episode, de-linking the main thread.

Surender Reddy’s direction relied mostly on stylish angling of the hero and his stunts.
The romance between the hero and heroine is not built up naturally. But, again, it is dramatic. Each time the heroine meets the hero, she invites him to have coffee, tea or liquor. There is no variety in this romantic streak.

Stunts are a major strength to the film. Stun Shiva’s imagination has clicked well with the dynamism of Mahesh Babu. However, a lot of gunfire has given vent to boredom and unpleasant experience. The climax fight, in which Mahesh Babu beheads or stabs or fatally wounds the baddies (numbering around 50), is disgusting. You can say, it is rain of blood springing from human bodies.

Comedy is weak. Venu Madhav simply comes and goes in the first half. It is Sunil who gives some relief in the second half, but short-lived. Brahmanandam has no significant role, but it sounds on the lines of the one in Athadu. The comedy in which Brahmanandam pushes the broken bottle on the back of Sunil; and the latter grabbing the “organ” of the former in turn, is vulgar and might be embarrassing to the women crowds.

characterization of the villain confuses the audiences. Most of the characters, including Nazar, has no punch and make you feel that they could be donned by any Tom, Dick or Harry. The laughing mannerism of the villain is a big monotony. The manner of death of the role played by Asish Vidyarthi is ridiculous.

Surender Reddy seem to have handled the sentimental or say emotional scenes in a reckless manner. For instance, when the villain kills an innocent girl (who accompanies the heroine), it has no impact on the audience. In several scenes, the hero sheds tears. Better say, his eyes go wet. Here also, the treatment goes staged.

music by Mani Sharma will not let you down. Songs shot in foreign locations are good in parts. The first song and the last song are canned in style. Background score is arresting in some scenes.

just as in Pokiri, Mahesh Babu is made to use informal style of dialogue delivery – a plus point.
Editing is good in songs. Cinematography is excellent, coupled with rich production values.

TULASI-rating 3.5/5

Venkatesh, Nayanatara, Master Atulit, Shivaji, Ramyakrishna, Shriya, Rahul Dev, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Shravan, Subbaraju, Riyaz Khan, Allari Ravi, Ashish Vidyardhi

story: Akula Shiva & Boyapati Srinu

dialogues: Parachuri Brothers

music: Devi Sri Prasad

Cinematography: Balamurugan

Editing: Marthand K Venkatesh

Fights: Ram – Lakshman & Kanal Kannan

Banner: Suresh Productions Producer: D Suresh Babu

Screenplay and directed by: Boyapati Srinu

Date of Theatrical Reelase: 12th October 2007

Boyapati Sreenu turned a director with ‘Bhadra’ featuring Raviteja as hero. He earned good name and the film was also proved successful. In fact, Venkatesh was to be his debutant hero, but it failed to materialise. Learning the directorial skills of Boyapati Sreenu, Venkatesh gave him the opportunity for his next film. Sreenu caught the pulse of the films properly and understood that it was the screenplay which would be the key to run the movie on a success path. Keeping Venkatesh’s image among the family audiences, Akula Siva scripted a good story which has different elements like love, family, child sentiment. At the same time, he chose faction in its backdrop, to please the mass audiences.

STORY
Tulasi(Venkatesh) is an architect by profession; falls in love with Vasudhara (Nayanatara) and get married. When she turns pregnant, he takes her to his native village and involves in a factional attack after a lot of bloodshed, he promises his wife that he would stay cool and incidentally fights with some realtors who was threatening his neighbour. Sivaji(Vasundhara’s brother) gets killed in the hands of the land mafia. In a bid to take revenge, Tulasi kills the son of the don. This incident separates Vasu from Tulasi. However, Tulasi continues to keep a watchful eye on Vasu and their son Harsha (Atulit). Vasu tries to keep Harsha off Tulasi but he continues to go near to Harsha. That child learns that Tulasi is none other than his dad. The rest of the film is how they reunited?

comments

Venkatesh excelled in his own inimitable style. He maintained good difference in his body language and mannerism. In fact it is a one-man show. Nayanatara also looked gorgeous in modern outfits and sarees. Her character also had different shades, Sivaji did justice to his role, while comedy by Ali is good in parts. Raghubabu’s dialogue timing as a villain’s buddy is humorous. Other artistes like Jayaprakash Reddy, Asish Vidyarthi, Subbaraju, Riyaj Khan, Rahul Dev and Ramyakrishna are adequate.

Boyapati Sreenu, showed his directorial capability to the maximum extent. However, he could better if he does some more homework on the film. Though the storyline by Akula Siva not properly gelled with action and sentiment, the director was able to overcome the hurdle with a perfect screenplay and he dominated the story with his ability on the screen. Dialogues by Paruchuri Brothers are also good in parts. Especially, where the hero explains the value of marriage and the climax scene where the hero’s father compliments his son. Balamurugan handled the camera well in action as well as in songs, while Marthand K Venkatesh’s editing is okay. Action scenes are stylish and Ram-Lakshman and Kanal Kannan done good job. Production values of Suresh Productions are good. Prime Focus graphic works looked a bit excessive in the first fight and in the second song.

As a whole the film has good drama and there were routine dialogues here and there. The audiences feel bored in a couple of scenes. On the whole, – Two eye drops, two satires, two songs, and two fights. Unlike the earlier films, this film has something different in Venkatesh’s career, which has some mass masala. In total it is an average fare and the Dasara holidays might prove a boon for the film.

"happy days"-4/5 rating

Casting : Sandesh - Tamanna , Nikhil - Gayatri Rao ,Vamsi Krishna - Monali Chowdary, Raahul - Sonia and along with these 'Kamalini Mukherjee'.

Direction : Shekar Kammula

Music : Mickey J.MeyerProducer : Shekar Kammula

Release : 28th Sep 2007 - Overseas, 2nd October 2007 - India

Story

In a nutshell : four pairs, four years and a two and half hours class show. Remember, this is sekhar kammula movie!!

In detail :Entire story takes place in a college campus(CBIT Engineering college).Sandesh-Tamanna,Nikhil - Gayatri Rao ,Vamsi Krishna - Monali Chowdary ,Raahul - Sonia are freshers in the college. The story starts with how these youngsters attract to each other. How the male leads approaches female leads to express their love is very interesting. As a part of their academics, these youngsters happened to go on for an excursion.Where in Vamsi kisses Monali Chowdary.Fortunate enough(!!), the remaining male team sees the same and Sandesh plans to have this experience with Tamanna. From here on...how he proceeds to achieve his dream(!), how Juniors and seniors clash for their own reasons, what importance this gang give to friendship in college days, and especially how these four love stories come to an end has to be seen on the theater. As there is no introduction required for 'classical touch' of Shekar kammula's movies,'Happy Days' is really worth watching.

Comedy : No 'specialist' comedians are there in the movie, but it's all Shekar kammula's mark 'Humor'.

Performance : In simple, Shekar Kammula is 'Andhra's Shankar' while extracting talent from new artists. All the youngsters are preformed well. Definitely Sandesh and Tamanna grab a new opportunities with this movie like Siddartha and Jenilia in the 'Boys'

.Anything special : Shekar kammula has been graduated from the same college(CBIT),Lucky enough!.

The following scenes standout:

1. The separation scene of Tyson and Sravanthi is very fascinating

.2. Rajesh’s reaction after he beats up his friend Shankar

.3. The way he ended the love thread between Tyson and Sravanthi. If Sravanthi accepted Tyson's love, then it would appear that the director is giving messages that it is ok to love your senior girls in the college.

The following dialogues are so meaningful and true:

1. Love and fear can never coexist.

2. A boy's character is judged by the kind of girls he roams with.

3. The college life may fail you to achieve great academic rewards, but it will definitely give you the ability to achieve any thing.

4. College Days are Happy Days.

The days that follow college days are purposeful days.

However the following aspects of the film are unwarranted

1. Rajesh's hair style in the beginning appears artificial. And he keeps using Telangana dialect though he is from Proddutur (Rayalaseema).

2. Tyson doing some scientific tricks. The extent of the tricks should have been limited

.3. The character of Panduranga Rao was introduced well. But there is no ending to that character.

Rating : 4/5

happy days Analysis: First half of the film is neat though some of us might feel that Sekhar Kammula kind of emotional scenes are not there. But in the second half of the film, he added good emotional episodes and made sure that you get connected with the film. The plus points of the film are direction, fresh cast, music, cinematography and editing. On the flip side, the pace of the film slackens at times. Sekhar Kammula who did female oriented films like Anand and Godavari came up with a film of different genre this time. The genre might be changed, but his honesty and filmmaking abilities are in tact. If he sticks to his sensibilities, Sekhar Kammula can never make a bad film. Go and watch 'Happy Days'

hai frens-saw the movie? if so, do post your opinions on this movie?did sekhar kammula succeed?

CHIRUTHA REVIEW

STORY<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5115098640503233714" style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; Samudra
Producer E. Ranga Rao
Music Srikanth Deva
Cast Nandamuri Kalyanram, Vedika, Saikumar

Vijayadasami, a remake of Tamil blockbuster Sivakasi directed by Samudra remains faithful to the story of Perarasu’s original. But, he has messed up the screenplay and direction. The first half is a complete letdown with nothing happening and the second half goes aimless. Samudra neglected the comedy, in spite of having Brahmanandam and a handful of sidekick comedians. It is a middle-of-the-road movie.

Sivakasi (Kalyanram Nandamuri) lives like an orphan in Hyderabad. He fights out a local baddie and wins the appreciation of the public. At the same time, a ravishing and rich girl Devi (Vedika) falls in love with Sivakasi. But, her father and brothers reject Sivakasi saying that he is an orphan and does not have any family background.

But, Sivakasi reveals his background. He is the son of erstwhile Karimnagar Zamindar Chennama Naidu (Suman). And circumstances had forced him to turn an orphan in a city away from his parents. The rest of the story is about how he gets united to his family, which is almost ruined by his own brother Durgaprasad (Saikumar).

Nandamuri Kalyanram looked energetic and has performed well. He showed a lot of maturity and ease in all departments – action, dialogue delivery and emoting, when compared to his previous films. Vedika is beautiful and glamorous and promising. Saikumar's role as the main villain is not well-etched out. Brahmanandam's acting lacked the punch. Lakshmipati is simply superb in his tom-tom role. Jayasudha rendered excellent performance as an agonized mother. Rajan P. Dev played the ruthless mama to Saikumar's role. All others have fit well into their shoes.
The story, being the straight lift from Tamil film `Sivakasi`, lacks freshness and and the screenplay is slipshod from start to finish. With his outdated filmmaking strategy, Samudra proved that he cannot be relied upon if he were to make a film with a youngster. Direction is old-fashioned. Director himself appears in the movie for a couple of minutes to reiterate his allegiance to the family of Nandamuris from late NTR to Harikrishna to Balakrishna to NTR to Nandamuri Kalyanram.
After a long gap, Simran has made a comeback with an item girl. Songs are average and most numbers are not situational. They come as speed breakers. Music by Srikanth Deva is average. The background score is monotony. Cinematography is average. Stunts by Stun Shiva are appealing. Comedy is not given its right place in the film. Graphics are ok.
Verdict: Below Average

OM Shanti OM

Album: Om Shanti Om

Music Director: Vishal-Shekhar

Singers: Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, K.K., Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Richa Sharma, Sunidhi Chauhan, Udit Narayan, Sukhwinder, Caralisa, Marianne D'Cruz, Nisha Mascarenhas, Rahul Saxena, Abhijeet

Ratings: ***

Farah Khan's second directorial venture is ready to hit the theatres. While the movie is a much-anticipated one, the music is getting mixed reviews from all over. Composed by the contemporary duo Vishal-Shekhar, the soundtrack of OM SHANTI OM is an amalgamation of songs that belong to an earlier age.

Already doing the rounds of the small screen and making hearts go aflutter is Ajab si - doused completely in romance, the song by K.K. has this unconventionally youthful tune attached to it. K.K. is as usual flawless while the lyrics are sweet and innovative.

Taking a complete U-turn is the track titled Dard-e-disco. Rendered by Sukhwinder and assisted by Caralisa, Marianne D'Cruz and Nisha Mascarenhas, the number is very close to being a disaster.

Shaan renders Dastaan-e-Om-Shanti-Om, which reminds one so much of the evergreen 'Ek hasina thi'. The musical ensemble seems elaborate and the track has a 50-50 chance of doing well.

Deewangi deewangi boasts of a gang of singers including Shaan, Rahul Saxena, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Udit Narayan, some of the best of the lot. In the song, music from the yesteryears has been fused with contemporary tones. Javed Akhtar's lyrics add to the journey into the past.

Dhoom Tana makes it difficult for one to say whether it will be an out and out success or just fade away. Abhijeet and Shreya do a good job of rendering Javed Akhtar's lyrics, and Vishal-Shekhar's music doesn't disappoint either, yet the overall appeal of the track leaves you wanting.

Jag soona soona lage boasts of singers like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Richa Sharma, who with their powerful voices enthral the masses. Javed saab's lyrics contribute to the heart-breaking theme of the song where melody plays a huge role and Rahat Fateh's soulful and passionate voice completes the circle.

Continuing with the theme of creating music belonging to a completely different era, Vishal-Shekhar rope in Sonu Nigam and Shreya for Main agar kahoon. A mushy and romantic song, it encompasses doses of sweet nothings written by Javed Akhtar. It will find instant fans who may, however, back off after a while.

Fragments of all the tracks in the soundtrack are put together to form Om Shanti Om, a medley mix. This should be a treat for anyone who has loved each and every song in the album. Who else would download it?

Despite a few problems, Om Shanti Om is a sure winner!

review of "hello premisthara"

introduction:Hello Premistara is produced by Puri Jagannath and Dhil Raju. Naturally the expectations are high coming from two successful film makers. The film directed by debut director Raj Kumar. The film reminds of Ajit starrer Vali.

difference from "vali"

Difference from this film being that heroine in Hello Premistara is not aware of the fact there is a look alike of the hero. Though the director's taking is good coupled with good technical values, the director seemed to have confusion about which path to take - a love story or a thriller.

story

Aravind (Sairam Shankar) hails from Kolkota and works in a cellphone company Air Talk. It so happens that he falls in love with a TV anchor Nandini (Sheela), who runs the show titled Hello Premistara! Suddenly, one Arjun (Sairam Shankar in dual role) appears on the scene. By hook or crook Arjun wants to become Aravind. Why? and if he succeeded? Watch the plot on big screen. It wont be an exaggeration to say that the performance by the lead pair is the highlight of the film.

comments

Sairam Shankar is very good in both the shades as Arjun and Aravind. He is at ease with both the roles and has certainly matured a lot in all the departments such as action, dances and dialog delivery. Heroine Sheela is photogenic and performed well. Sunil's comedy remained highlight. Footage of Brahmanandam could have been longer. Ali appears in a no-value role. Vijay Chander, Bhanu Chander, Pinky are content in their roles. Story being very similar to Vali is kind of a minus for this film.

Even though the takings are novel, the film will surely remind of Vali and hence the plot becomes predictable. Screenplay is good in the first half but slogs in the second half. Director Rajkumar concentrated much on focusing the hero and his histrionics than other aspects. Comedy is not given much prominence. There is not much comedy in the film. Director failed to utilize Sunil, Brahmanandam and Ali to the full extent. Music by Chakri is a great asset to the film. A couple of songs are good. Particularly ninna monna yedalo levu… is very good. The song is also well pictured on screen. Stunts by Ram Laxman are average. Cinematography is good. Dialogs provided by Rajasimha are average and lacks punch. Editing is ok. The film has considerable commercial values to woo the audience, but it has to be seen how far they click through.

Chandamama

Story:
Ranga Rao (Nagababu) is a kind and popular man in a village. He fixes marriage of his city-educated daughter
Mahalakshmi (Kajal Agarwal) to a sincere guy from the same village Dorababu (Siva Balaji). But Mahalakhmi has a
past in the city where she falls in love with Kishore (Navadeep).
The rest of the story is all about how these guys settle the things without hurting Ranga Rao.

Main leads: Navadeep is brimming with loads of energy in this film.
He is completely spontaneous and has nice dialogue delivery.
He gave stupendous dialogue delivery in Telangana dialect in drinking scene.
Siva Balaji is very good as good-hearted village boy. His getup (extended mustaches) suited him well.
Kajal Agarwal is alright in the role of lead heroine. However, dubbing voice should have been better.
Sindhu Menon is appropriate and suited the character well.

Others: Nagababu gave a mature performance as a loving father.
It is Ahuti Prasad who steals the show with impeccable dialect and neat comedy timing.
Radha Kumari brings authenticity as a grandmother. Rajesh and Uttej are good.
Abhinaya Sri did an item song in this film. Jeeva did an interesting small role as a cop.

Music of the film is average. But might appeal after repeated listening. Picturization of
Bugge Bangarama song is pretty creative.
The picturization of the Abhinaya Sri song is unappealing.
Dialogues are adequate. Cinematography is neat.
The backdrop of Hampi ruins is an asset. Producer C Kalyan who always made mass films
changed his style and preferred a film with class orientation this time.

Analysis: Krishna Vamsi attempted a plain and simple story to narrate in a simple style in
the format of Ninne Pelladatha and Murari. The major entertainment in this film is provided by
Ahuti Prasad and Navadeep. On the flipside, there is no emotional depth which we usually experience
in Krishna Vamsi's films. There is no justification for the title Chandamama. Probably director felt
that the watching film would be like reading Chandamama katha.
On a whole, Chandamama is a love story with family backdrop.

AAG

Story:
Narsimha (Mohan Lal) is a sincere cop. Babban (Amitab Bachchan) is the most dreaded gangster
who was never arrested as police fail to provide any evidence against him. Narsimha throws Babban
into the jail and also causes a personal loss to Babban. Babban retaliates and takes revenge on Narsimha.
The rest of the story is all about how Narsimha hires two youngsters (Ajay Devgan and Prashant Raj) and then
eliminate Babban.

Actors:Mohan Lal is pretty good as the cop. Amitab Bachchan used the mannerisms of growling and whiffing for a
kind of villainy look but he fades out if you compare him with legendry Amjad Khan when it comes to histrionics
and characterization. Ajay Devgan is alright. Prashant Raj is good for a first timer. Nisha Kothari is partly good.
Her introduction part is good.
The way she sports a beedi to portray roughness is very artificial. Sushmita Sen is good. Sushant Singh plays the vital role of Amitab's sidekick.
Abhishek Bachchan and Urmila Matondkar gave special appearance in an item song.

screenplay - direction: Ram Gopal Varma stated that this film is his tribute to his favorite film Sholay.
Instead he humiliated the great film by making Aag. We all know the story, he should have been more sensible.
Screenplay of the film is inadequate. Ram Gopal Varma's mafia touch is missing in his direction. He failed to
bring out the emotions. However, he scored well in the following scenes -

1. The blind man coming forward to the rescue Narsimha when everybody else is blaming him.
2. Villain realizing that his associate is dead in the climax.

Other departments: Music of the film is average. The Mehabooba song offers some variety.
The music director adapted the signature tune of Mehabooba to score background music for action sequences.
Cinematography is pretty good. The uniform color grading done to the movie is good. Dialogues are alright.

Remark: Remaking Sholay has both advantages and disadvantages. Advantage is that the film will
get noticed and people would talk about it. The disadvantage is that the film will be compared with
the original. Aag succeeds in the first aspect of creating buzz and fails in the second aspect of
comparison. The emotion, feel and buoyancy of Sholay is surely missing in Aag. The Gabbar character
in Sholay is terrorizing as well as entertaining. By using a flashback to justify Babban's cruelty towards
Narsimha, Ram Gopal Varma created lot of sympathy to Gabban character in Aag. And when audiences sympathies
with the villain, the whole heroism and the cause of heroes don't get elevated. On a whole, Aag disappoints with
or without comparing with Sholay!

Shankar Dada zindabad

shankar dada zindabad in the capacity of the captain for Indian hockey team. Everybody hates him. After 7 years, he comes back as the coach for Indian women hockey team. The rest of the story is all about how he trains the 16 women of various states, different mindsets and attitudes to play as one and win the world cup.

performances
Shahrukh Khan did the role of a brilliant coach whose respect is battered by the misconception and the media. He is exceptional as an inspiring and tough coach. The actor in Shahrukh dominates the star in this film. It is nice to see Shahrukh Khan doing purposeful films like Swadesh and Chak De India once in a while. The girls who played the women hockey team are exceptionally good. The girls who did the roles of Preeti, Balbir and Komal dominate the scene.

story screenplay and direction:The story of the film is about a typical underdog winning the game. The aspect of coach seeking redemption by making his team win added lot of grip to the story. What makes this film different is extraordinary script writing and superb direction. Screenplay is just perfect. The entire film is realistic barring certain episodes demanding creative freedom. The writer avoided the board's politics aspect in the storyline, in order to focus on establishing each and every character of player well and then show how they change their attitude to become team players. The following scenes are defining moments of the film -

1. The McDonald's scene where the entire team shows team spirit by entering into a physical fight with the eve teasers.
2. The applause team gets after playing against the men's team
3. The phone call from Shukla.
4. Coach telling Preeti and Komal about how they can make or mar the match.
analysis: The entire first half is concentrated on establishing all the characters in Hockey team and then inculcating the sense of belongingness among the team members. The second half is more entertaining with nice twists and engaging games. The plus points of the film are writing (Jaideep Sahni), performances (Shahrukh Khan), direction (Shimit Amin) and Cinematography (Sudeep Chatarjee). It is a sensible and a brilliant film with soul.
